Reflection: The Galilee is such a beautiful place!

Tabgha- Rock under altar laid in 1st century where Jesus said to have laid 5 loaves 2 fish to feed the 5,000. ca350 first church built on site over altar. Current church built in 1982. Ref. Mark 6:30.

Mount of Beatitudes- Church on location where Jesus delivered the Beatitudes. Blessed are those who … (Matthew 5:1-12)

Chorazin- North side of Sea of Galilee. Jesus condemned this city together with Beth-Saida and Capernaum. Matthew 11:21. View of synagogue in center of city.

Mount Arbel- Unbelievable sweeping views of the Sea of Galilee on top of Mount Arbel. Arbel sits at 594 feet above sea level but with the Sea of Galilee at 686 feet below sea level if feels like you are every foot of 1270 feet high. No guard rails here. Able to see many sites of Jesus’ ministry from this single point.
