Day 322: 11/19/13- Holy Land Day Six: Jerusalem- King David's Tomb, The Upper Room, Peter's Denial and Ciaphas' House, St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, Bethlehem

Day 322: 11/19/13-  Holy Land Day Six: Jerusalem- King David's Tomb, The Upper Room,   Peter's Denial and Ciaphas' House, St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, Bethlehem
New Thing: Holy Land Day Six
Inspiration: The Holy Land Pilgrimage
Time: All Day
Bottom Line: Jerusalem, my happy home!

Reflection:
Location above King David’s tomb where tradition has the Last Supper taking place AND where the Holy Spirit came down upon the disciples after Jesus’ death aka Pentecost.

Peter's denial and Ciaphas' house- Archeological discoveries found this dungeon near Ciaphas’, where Jesus was brought after being arrested on the Mount of Olives the night before he was crucified.

St. Mary's Church of the Assumption

Shepherd's Field- The fields where the angels came to the shepherds to announce Jesus’ birth. Luke 2:8-20

Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Palestine. Church on top of cave where Jesus is believed to be born. As we waited in line (just 90 min) we arrived at the entrance to the cave just in time to witness the sung Latin mass. Wow! Luke 2:1-7
