Bottom Line: I do love Friedman!
Reflection: My first class in this program is called Theology of Story and Sacrament and today we really jumped into Friedman's Generation to Generation: Family Process in Church and Sacrament. This is just one of his classics on describing the "non-anxious presence" and how our worshiping communities are all tied up in family processes. We had a great discussion about how our stories are all effected by our systems thus we have a need to see the meta-narrative to help others see the process rather then just the details of friction. Love it!
