Day 188: 7/8/11 - Knoebels!

Day 188: 7/8/11
New Thing:
Knoebels!
Inspiration: Fun, Food and Fantasy
Cost: $0 (Thanks to the wonderful Tax family!)
Time: All day
Bottom Line: So much fun!

Reflection: Today Delia, Ken, Doug, Ali and I went to one of my favorite places in the world: Knoebels Amusement Resort. According to Wikipedia:

Knoebels is a family-owned and -operated amusement park, picnic grove and campground in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1926, the park has more than 57 rides, free admission, two wooden roller coasters, a 1913 carousel and a haunted house dark ride that was featured on the Discovery Channel. The park and its rides have won awards from organizations such as Amusement Today, American Coaster Enthusiasts and The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. The park has won the Amusement Today Golden Ticket award for best amusement park food for the past seven years

Ali and I grew up going to Knoebels and have extremely found memories of all the wholesome fun we had. It has a 1950's charm to it and is fun for all ages. I could not wait to take Delia and Ken here and it was made even better by the Tax family who gave us a whole stack of ride tickets (thank you!!). Great Day!

We each collected a ton of rings.

Balloon ride!

Her first ride

On the Pioneer Train

Ali and I tried to get Delia to be in the Playtime Fairyland show so we could relive our childhood and be in the show too! She wanted nothing to do with it :(
